Mauro Macario (Santa Margherita Ligure, February 21, 1947) is a director, writer, poet, songwriter and Italian. Born from the union of
Erminio Macario and Julia Dardanelles, after attending the School of Dramatic Art has started directing the film and television, taking care especially for the network RAI programs in musical character.
debut as a songwriter in 1980 with the album Amoropolis, recorded for Durium; also writes songs for other artists, including his father, for which he composed with Valerio Liboni Hello Grandpa.
In 1990, after an artistic-existential path from diverse experiences, he came to poetry, finding inspiration in the very French.
Between 1990 and 1994 he published three books of poetry - The Wings of the hyena, natural Crimes, The Song of the yield fatal - later published as The destiny of being elsewhere.
His poems have been included in the anthology of contemporary poetry Altramarea - Poetry as a living thing, curated by Angelo Tonelli and published for the types of Campanotto Publisher. For theater
wrote some plays in the seventies.
