Edward James Olmos (Los Angeles, February 24, 1947) is a musician, actor and film director. He is also known by the nickname EJO.
Born to a Mexican immigrant father, a Baptist, with a quarter of a Hungarian Jewish blood (the original name was Olmosh) Mexican-American mother and a Catholic. He has been married since 1994 to actress Lorraine Bracco as his second wife, with whom he divorced in 2002.
